Fused glass platter -- approx. 12" cut to an octagon shape. This piece has a clear glass base with subtle streaks of red, yellow, blue, green frit. It has a border of black frit and black circles. In the center there is a 3" x 6" addition with geometric shapes of red,orange, blue, grape, and green, bordered by black strips. This center addition appears to have a "floating" effect. There is clear frit over the base glass. This has been full-fused several times to get the final look, then re-fired to "slump" it into a mold, giving it the shape of a platter. Food safe and dishwasher safe. Display as art when not serving food. |
