Fused glass plate is approx. 9 1/2" square with hundreds of clear stringers laid in 3 layers in opposite directions, with noodle strips laid diagonally. The alternating direction of the clear glass stringers give this piece a textured woven effect when tack-fused. It looks sandblasted. Final firing to "slump" this into the mold of a plate. Lead-free, food and dishwasher safe. Display as art when not serving food. Higher cost of materials leads to higher sale price, but a very unique creation. Enlarge picture to get best look. |
